Synopsis:

 
 
Nickelodeon's first bilingual series, Dora the Explorer followed the adventures of 7-year-old Latina girl Dora and her friend, Boots the monkey. The show actively engaged its preschool audience in play-along, computer-style adventures, teaching children how to observe situations and solve problems as they explored Dora's world with her. Along the way, kids learned basic Spanish words and phrases, as well as math skills, music, and physical coordination. The show also encouraged its young viewers to respond to Dora and actively participate in her adventures through physical movement.
